Hi Solo Traveler, Time for a new year of travel

Published: Sun, 01/21/18

On New Year's Eve I had the great pleasure of letting Connie from Wyoming know that she won our "Guess the Destination" giveaway. What was her guess and where is she going with Exodus Travels? The Amalfi Coast, Italy. Lucky her!

So many people participated in the contest that we've decided to run a "Guess the Destination" giveaway every few months. The next one will be at the beginning of March.

And now it's January. The beginning of a new year and time to plan my travels of 2018. As usual, I have more travel dreams than money in the bank. That's why I kicked off the year with a post on the Best Budget Destinations for Solo Travelers in 2018. I hope it's of help to you.

A Small Savings on Travel Insurance
I've negotiated a 5% discount on World Nomads travel insurance for those not from Canada or the US. You can go directly to World Nomads here and use this discount code: solotrvl5. You're also welcome to read Going Alone? Travel Insurance is a Must for my price/benefits analysis and comparison with other providers. Unfortunately, it's only for those under 70 years of age.

Where we're traveling.
I'm just back from Mont Tremblant, Quebec where I spent a long weekend of winter fun. In addition to downhill and cross-country skiing, I participated in a treetop adventure which ended in a misadventure. Not to worry, I laughed all the way through it and will share the story soon. I have also booked my flights for Japan for the end of March. I can't wait! Later this year I'll do a self-guided walking tour in France. Tracey, lucky her, has a tour of Morocco in April. It's all very exciting.

That's it for now. Safe and happy solo travel to all.

Janice
