Here's what's new and notable at Solo Traveler this month.
Our October edition of the Insiders Speaker Series was fascinating! Celes Davar opened
our eyes to the pleasures and benefits of immersive travel, the problem of "experience-washing" and what's coming up in experiential tourism. At the end of the session, we held a draw for a free Demi Hugger. Congratulations to Ruth, this month's winner!
We were all so involved in the subject and Celes was so generous with his time and expertise that we opened up the mics and continued the conversation for an extra half hour after we stopped recording. It's just one of the magical things that can happen when passionate travelers come together!
Speaking of passionate travelers, Janice and Solo Traveler Community member Cat just returned from their first post-pandemic trips. Scroll down to see Janice's images from a fantastic art experience in Baux-de-Provence, France and Cat's story of her weekend getaway to Whistler,
BC.
On October 27th, the theme of our Solo Traveler Insiders monthly meet-up will be Amazing Encounters with Locals. In November, join us for Luxury Hostels: Travel in Style on a Budget with Kash Bhattacharya. Better known as the BudgetTraveller, he literally wrote the book on the subject!
