The Importance of Travel Photos
Published: Sun, 11/29/20
Sometimes it's about a specific destination. Other times it's about the people I've met or the type of landscapes I love such as beaches or mountains.
Whatever the focus, these past few months I have thoroughly enjoyed going through my travel photos and sharing them, thematically, week after week on Instagram.
You don't have to share your photos on social media to enjoy such a project. You could make an album that features your best photos from your best trips. Or you could make a slide show and share it via zoom or Skype with family and friends.
Whatever you decide to do as a result of choosing your favorite photos, there is great joy in looking through them all, the good, the blurry and poorly cropped, with intention. Memories long buried come to the surface. Excursions enjoyed are relived. And the evolution of you as a citizen of the world is revealed.
Pull out those shoeboxes of pics. Go through them on your computer or phone. It's a great pandemic project.
A Moment of Shameless Promotion
You may know that I have two sons and two step-sons. David, the eldest, started a very unique music school over ten years ago. With the pandemic, he is doing more online than ever before. The school runs the gamut, vocals, guitar, drums... I encourage you to subscribe to his Youtube channel where they offer FREE tutorials on how to play a range of songs on guitar at different levels (access these any
time) plus live masterclasses every Friday.
Watch for it! Another trip giveaway.
At the end of December we'll be having our annual Guess the Destination Giveaway. Yes, once again we'll be giving a trip to one lucky person. Watch for details in upcoming emails.
