A New Decade of Solo Travel Begins
Published: Sun, 12/29/19
In 2019 we celebrated Solo Traveler's 10th Anniversary.
10 years of travel and 10 years supporting solo travelers.
Tracey summed up the decade here. Don't miss the video at the end featuring the photos of dozens of readers who shared they're solo travel pics from all over the world. Give it a watch. It's inspiring to see solo travelers everywhere from mountain tops, to under the ocean, from the south pole to luxury spots in Europe.
Ready for a New Decade for Solo Traveler
Based on your feedback to our Reader Survey in October, our first priority for 2020 is the revamp of our Deals page. It will take a few months to complete but we're going to make it easier for you to find the trips you want with no or low single supplements..
Again, based on your feedback, we mailed our first Deals Flash last month. It appears to have been a great success so we're hoping to have more of these in the future. But, as promised, only if the deal is exceptional and time sensitive.
2020 Travel Plans - There are a few trips in the works already.
- In late January I'm planning a train trip in the US. A long, meandering train trip with a number of stops along the way. I'll write a post about the plan once it's finalized.
- In March I'm going to Morocco with Just You, a tour company that specializes in solo travel. I took a day trip there in 2002. So long ago. I'm looking forward to explore this country in more depth and I'm tuning up my French to help me do so.
- I'll keep working on my French after Morocco for in August, I'm off for a truly immersive experience with Experience My France. I'm going to try to speak French for the full week - no English allowed. We'll see how I do.
We are! Please follow us and use the "Following" tab to ensure that you see pins from us and all people you're following.
That's it for now! Happy travels. Happy New Year!

- Solo Travel Deals Page. Updated monthly, to our knowledge this is the only list of tours with no or low single supplements on the Internet.
- Bare Minimum Packing: Here’s Your Packing List - our ultimate packing check list which I continue to use for every trip.
- The Wits & Wonder Travel Course Solo travelers have given the course 4.4 stars out of 5 and 79% say they are likely to recommend it to a friend. Many already have!
