The Gift of Solo Travel
Published: Sun, 11/24/19
We're approaching the giving season.
Giving Tuesday is December 3rd, right after the frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It's a day when people around the world make a special donation to support their favourite charities. You could call it a global day of generosity. How perfect is it for travelers to participate. I won't presume to suggest a charity but if you are in a position to give financially or of your time, it's a great occasion to do so.
The holidays is gift giving season for family and friends as well. I'm glad to say that we finally figured out how to let you give our popular Wits & Wonder Travel Course as a gift. We even created a gift certificate for it. So you now have the option to gift the course to someone you want to encourage to travel solo.
2020 Travel Plans - There are a few trips in the works.
- In late January I'm planning a train trip in the US. A long, meandering train trip down the east side of the country with a number of stops along the way. I'll write a post about the plan once it's finalized.
- In March I'm going to Morocco with Just You, a tour company that specializes in solo travel. I took a day trip there in 2002. So long ago. I'm looking forward to explore this country in more depth and I'm tuning up my French to help me do so.
- I'll keep working on my French after Morocco for in August, I'm off to a France for a truly immersive French experience. I'm going to try to speak French for the full week - no English allowed. We'll see how I do.
We are! Please follow us and use the "Following" tab at the top right to ensure that you see the pins of all people you're following.
That's it for now! Happy travels. Happy celebrations to all.
